About Me
My
name is Johan Helmer and I’m a 3rd Year PhD candidate currently
studying in the Electronics Department at the University of Kent,
England.
I specialise in Biometrics, Genetic Algorithms, Image and Audio
Processing. In addition to this I also hold a keen interest in the
mobile telecoms and thin networked devices.
Away from my academic life I'm quite a keen rower and enjoy
finishing the day with a good gym session. I'm also a self confessed
gadget freak and can frequently be found playing around with the latest
of many toys.
